Function	Conversion of dopamine to noradrenaline.
Summary	The protein encoded by this gene is an oxidoreductasebelonging to the copper type II, ascorbate-dependent monooxygenasefamily. It is present in the synaptic vesicles of postganglionicsympathetic neurons and converts dopamine to norepinephrine. Itexists in both soluble and membrane-bound forms, depending on theabsence or presence, respectively, of a signal peptide. [providedby RefSeq].
