Summary |
Myosin is a hexameric ATPase cellular motor protein. It iscomposed of two heavy chains, two nonphosphorylatable alkali lightchains, and two phosphorylatable regulatory light chains. This geneencodes a myosin alkali light chain expressed in both slow-twitchskeletal muscle and in nonmuscle tissue.
