Function |
Essential for the degradation of glygogen to glucose in lysosomes.
Summary |
This gene encodes acid alpha-glucosidase, which isessential for the degradation of glycogen to glucose in lysosomes.Different forms of acid alpha-glucosidase are obtained byproteolytic processing. Defects in this gene are the cause ofglycogen storage disease II, also known as Pompe's disease, whichis an autosomal recessive disorder with a broad clinical spectrum.Three transcript variants encoding the same protein have been foundfor this gene.

AMM04653G staining GAA in Human liver tissue sections by Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P - paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections). Tissue was fixed with formaldehyde and blocked with 3% BSA for 0. 5 hour at room temperature; antigen retrieval was by heat mediation with a citrate buffer (pH6). Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/25) for 1 hours at 37°C. A undiluted biotinylated goat polyvalent antibody was used as the secondary antibody.
Western blot analysis of lysate from Jurkat cell line, using GAA Antibody (N-term)( AMM04653G). AMM04653G was diluted at 1:2000. A goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L(HRP) at 1:10000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody. Lysate at 20ug.
Western blot analysis of lysates from A549, MCF-7, SW620, PC-3 cell line (from left to right), using GAA Antibody (N-term)( AMM04653G). AMM04653G was diluted at 1:1000 at each lane. A goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L(HRP) at 1:10000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody. Lysates at 20ug per lane. |
