Function	Ribonuclease inhibitor which inhibits RNASE1, RNASE2 and ANG. May play a role in redox homeostasis.
Summary	Placental ribonuclease inhibitor (PRI) is a member of afamily of proteinaceous cytoplasmic RNase inhibitors that occur inmany tissues and bind to both intracellular and extracellularRNases (summarized by Lee et al., 1988 [PubMed 3219362]). Inaddition to control of intracellular RNases, the inhibitor may havea role in the regulation of angiogenin (MIM 105850). Ribonucleaseinhibitor, of 50,000 Da, binds to ribonucleases and holds them in alatent form. Since neutral and alkaline ribonucleases probably playa critical role in the turnover of RNA in eukaryotic cells, RNH maybe essential for control of mRNA turnover; the interaction ofeukaryotic cells with ribonuclease may be reversible invivo.

Images	Western blot analysis of lysate from HT29 cell line,using RNH1 Antibody (C-term)(Cat. APR03694G).APR03694G was diluted at 1:1000 at each lane. A goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L(HRP) at 1:5000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody.Lysate at 35ug per lane. Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of RNH1 Antibody (C-term) ( APR03694G) with 293 cell followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green). DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).
