IL-11 is produced by bone marrow stromal cells and is a multifunctional regulator of the hematopoietic microenvironment.IL-11 can stimulate plasma cell proliferation and T cell-dependent B cell development; promote the formation and maturation of megakaryocytes, increase the number of peripheral blood platelets; synergize with IL-3 and IL-4 to stimulate the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells in the resting phase; Erythrocyte production and differentiation; regulation of hepatocyte plasma protein gene expression, induction of acute phase protein production.
