The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing Lipoxin B4 The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the EK00791Ee kit is based on Lipoxin B4 antibody-Lipoxin B4 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect Lipoxin B4 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, recombinant, Lipoxin B4. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted human body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV (%).

Lipoxins are a series of anti-inflammatory mediators. Lipoxins are short lived endogenously produced nonclassic eicosanoids whose appearance in inflammation signals the resolution of inflammation. They are abbreviated as LX, an acronym for lipoxygenase (LO) interaction products. At present two lipoxins have been identified; lipoxin A4 (LXA4) and lipoxin B4 (LXB4).
