The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing Glutaredoxin-3 The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the EK00630E kit is based on Glutaredoxin-3 antibody-Glutaredoxin-3 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect Glutaredoxin-3 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, recombinant, Glutaredoxin-3. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted human body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV (%).

Function |
Together with BOLA2, acts as a cytosolic iron-sulfur (Fe-S) cluster assembly factor that facilitates [2Fe-2S] cluster insertion into a subset of cytosolic proteins (PubMed:26613676, PubMed:27519415). Acts as a critical negative regulator of cardiac hypertrophy and a positive inotropic regulator (By similarity). Required for hemoglobin maturation (PubMed:23615448). Does not posses any thyoredoxin activity since it lacks the conserved motif that is essential for catalytic activity.
