The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing Interleukin-17F The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the EK00373E kit is based on Interleukin-17F antibody-Interleukin-17F antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect Interleukin-17F antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, recombinant, Interleukin-17F. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted human body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV (%).

Function |
Ligand for IL17RA and IL17RC (PubMed:17911633). The heterodimer formed by IL17A and IL17F is a ligand for the heterodimeric complex formed by IL17RA and IL17RC (By similarity). Involved in stimulating the production of other cytokines such as IL6, IL8 and CSF2, and in regulation of cartilage matrix turnover. Also involved in stimulating the proliferation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells and T-cells and in inhibition of angiogenesis (By similarity). Plays a role in the induction of neutrophilia in the lungs and in the exacerbation of antigen-induced pulmonary allergic inflammation (PubMed:15477493).
