Product Overview |
EK00339E is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the A Disintegrin and Metalloprotease 30 (Nitric oxide synthase, inducible) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing Nitric oxide synthase, inducible The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the EK00339E kit is based on Nitric oxide synthase, inducible antibody-Nitric oxide synthase, inducible antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect Nitric oxide synthase, inducible antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, recombinant, Nitric oxide synthase, inducible. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted human body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV (%).

Function |
Produces nitric oxide (NO) which is a messenger molecule with diverse functions throughout the body (PubMed:7503239). In macrophages, NO mediates tumoricidal and bactericidal actions. Also has nitrosylase activity and mediates cysteine S-nitrosylation of cytoplasmic target proteins such PTGS2/COX2 (PubMed:16373578). As component of the iNOS-S100A8/9 transnitrosylase complex involved in the selective inflammatory stimulus-dependent S-nitrosylation of GAPDH implicated in regulation of the GAIT complex activity and probably multiple targets including ANXA5, EZR, MSN and VIM (By similarity). Involved in inflammation, enhances the synthesis of proinflammatory mediators such as IL6 and IL8.
