The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing C-C motif chemokine 8 The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the EK00139E kit is based on C-C motif chemokine 8 antibody-C-C motif chemokine 8 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect C-C motif chemokine 8 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, recombinant, C-C motif chemokine 8. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted human body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV (%).

Function |
Chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils and eosinophils. May play a role in neoplasia and inflammatory host responses. This protein can bind heparin. The processed form MCP-2(6-76) does not show monocyte chemotactic activity, but inhibits the chemotactic effect most predominantly of CCL7, and also of CCL2 and CCL5 and CCL8.
