The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing Pro-interleukin-16 The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the EK00054E kit is based on Pro-interleukin-16 antibody-Pro-interleukin-16 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect Pro-interleukin-16 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, recombinant, Pro-interleukin-16. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted human body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV (%).

Function |
Isoform 3 is involved in cell cycle progression in T-cells. Appears to be involved in transcriptional regulation of SKP2 and is probably part of a transcriptional repression complex on the core promoter of the SKP2 gene. May act as a scaffold for GABPB1 (the DNA-binding subunit the GABP transcription factor complex) and HDAC3 thus maintaining transcriptional repression and blocking cell cycle progression in resting T-cells.
